Foundations Recovery Network’s Latest Event Marks 50th National Conference on Substance Abuse and Co-occurring Treatment

West Palm Beach, FL | September 27, 2017 – Foundations Recovery Network (FRN), an innovative behavioral health treatment provider, is proud to announce the Moments of Change conference (MOC), which will mark an important milestone as its 50th National Conference. The event will be held October 2-5 at The Breakers in West Palm Beach.

This year’s content spearheads some of the more pressing conversations surrounding the addiction treatment industry, including presentations from industry leaders on the opioid epidemic. A new conference educational track this year focused on ethical treatment within the behavioral healthcare industry features a presentation from FRN Vice President of Addiction Services Rob Waggener and CEO of Cumberland Heights Jay Crosson.

The opening keynote presentation features Steve Ford, son of former President Gerald Ford and Betty Ford. Ford is set to share a broad range of inspirational stories, including how the family dealt with his mom’s battles with alcoholism and breast cancer and his own successful fight in overcoming alcoholism.

To celebrate Moments of Change 2017 status as FRN’s 50th National Conference, attendees are encouraged to participate in the 50 Acts of Kindness Challenge throughout the week. Some of these acts include simple tasks such as sharing something inspirational on social media regarding addiction. Other acts have the potential to make a lasting impact on those most deserving in the local area and across the country. Examples include sending a handwritten note to someone currently in treatment, donating clothing and canned food to the Palm Beach County Food Bank, delivering welcome kits to a local domestic violence shelter, collecting supplies for hurricane victims and other Acts of Kindness.
